What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at CentraCare?
CentraCare Monticello Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary guidelines and food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality food service is provided at all times.
- Adhere to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs of patients, as directed by healthcare providers and dietitians.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including proper food storage, handling, and disposal procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
- Wash dishes, clean pots, pans, and utensils in work area.
Schedule:
- Part-time 48 hours every two weeks
- Variable days
- Shifts include 10:30am-7pm & 11am-7:30pm
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting at $19.10 per hour; exact wage determined by experience.
- Pay range: $19.10 - $28.87 per hour

Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Strong interpersonal human relations skills.
