What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine - NP or PA - Willmar, MN position at CentraCare?
CentraCare is hiring full-time Family Medicine Advanced Practice Providers at CentraCare in Willmar, Minnesota. Candidates must be licensed to treat patients of all ages from Pediatrics through Geriatrics. This position is open to new graduates with relevant experience in work history. This position will be part of a shared practice/panel with a physician.
Schedule
- .8 - .9 FTE
- Monday through Friday standard clinic outpatient clinic hours, with variation as needed in a professional position
- Weekend Urgent Care rotation limited number of weekends per year (2 to 4)
- NO call requirements or holiday rotations
Responsibilities
Our primary care providers diagnose and treat acute short-term illness, provide preventative care including routine checkups, perform health-risk assessments, give immunizations and screening tests, offer personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as well as manage and coordinate care for those with chronic conditions.
Requirements
Eligibility for the position entails:
- Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant, with the ability to see a full spectrum of patients with no age limitations
- Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota
- BLS Certification
In addition, clinical healthcare experience in one or more of the following is helpful:
- Family Medicine/Walk-In-Clinic
- Emergency Department
- Internal Medicine
- Pediatrics
- Urgent Care
All applicants must have a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number prior to receiving clinical privileges.
