What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Nurse Residency Program position at CentraCare?
CentraCare is committed to helping new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) in their transition from student to professional nurse through our Graduate Nurse Residency Program. This program is available for new nurses who have less than 1 year of RN experience and is offered at five-time Magnet-designated St. Cloud Hospital, Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, and our regional hospitals including Paynesville, Melrose, Sauk Centre, and Long Prairie.
Our program is one of the best in the country for new RNs and is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Our year-long program is designed to provide you with additional training, support, and resources needed to transform you into an exceptional professional nurse. New RNs in the program will enhance their skills and knowledge through monthly paid training sessions. These sessions will consist of a variety of activities such as group discussions, simulations, case studies, and a professional development project. Upon accepting a nursing position, you will be automatically enrolled in the program.

Things to know:
- By completing this application, you will be considered for all new grad RN positions available throughout CentraCare.
- Unit availability may vary with some units requiring additional experience.
- Shifts and FTEs will vary depending on the unit and be determined at the time of offer.
- We hire and start new grad RNs throughout the year.

Pay and Benefits:
- Pay based on experience and degree
- Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $40.33 per hour
- Bachelor's in nursing starting at $41.34 per hour
- Master's in nursing starting at $42.37 per hour
- Pay range: $40.33 - $60.50 per hour
- RN wages in Willmar are based on union rates
- Associate in nursing starting at $38.12 per hour
- Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $38.45 per hour
- Master’s in nursing starting at $40.37 per hour
- Pay range: $38.12 - $57.72 per hour

Bonus Information:
- New hires can earn a bonus between $3,500 and $5,000, depending on unit
- Relocation pay of $5,000 is available to those who qualify
Here’s what you need to qualify:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required by the time you start
- Minnesota RN License required by start date
- Less than one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- BSN required within three years of hire when working at St. Cloud Hospital
