Find your purpose as a Release of Information Assistant II with CentraCare! The ROI Assistant II coordinates and processes moderate to complex requests for the release of health information in an organized, efficient, and confidential manner. Responsible to have knowledge of current release of health information regulations set forth by the State of Minnesota, the Federal Government, HIPAA, and HITECH. Required to have the ability to use and interpret the Minnesota "Legal Manual" on release of information. Responsible to correspond to insurance companies, representatives, patients, medical and legal offices, and attorneys. Responsible for billing of health records sent to requestors and maintain all ROI work queues. Coordinates and processes moderate to complex requests for the release of health information in an organized, efficient, and confidential manner.
Schedule:
- Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Monday-Friday
- Hours between 8:30a-5:00p
- Onsite at the CentraCare Plaza, St. Cloud, MN
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay is $17.75 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
- Pay range: $17.28-$25.89 per hour

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of medical record experience is required
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification or 3 years of experience specifically in Release of Information required in lieu of certification.
- Experience with Release of Information is preferred.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent prioritizing and problem solving skills required. Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Computer knowledge and keyboard skills required.
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of confidentiality and release of information standards.
