What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Program Manager position at CentraCare?
The Research Program Manager will play a pivotal role in driving and managing collaborative research initiatives for CentraCare, as part of our UMMS/CC Academic Affiliation collaborative. This position will oversee the coordination, development, and execution of research projects, ensuring that the research aims are aligned with organizational priorities and that collaborative efforts between the two systems are effectively fostered. The role will require a deep understanding of healthcare research processes, project management, and stakeholder engagement, while also serving as a catalyst for advancing innovative research outcomes. This position is employed by and reports directly into CentraCare Research with a strong "dotted-line" to UMMS and our Academic Affiliation collaborative. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, understand and follow clinical research principles including sponsor guidelines, institution guidelines, and regulatory laws. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud
- Day shift | Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm
- Some travel to CentraCare sites required
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $81,854.76 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Salary range: $81,854.76 - $122,782.14 per year
- Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study required; master's degree preferred
- 3 to five years' experience in clinical research, research compliance, and/or educator within academia setting with research experience required
- Certified Clinical Research Professions (CCRP) or Association of Clinical Research Professions (ACRP) or others applicable to professional growth in research preferred
- Training and knowledge of clinical research activities and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholder groups, including developing, implementing, and managing resources and tools
- Knowledge of ethical issues, state laws, institutional policy, and federal research regulations that are applicable to human subject’s research
- Knowledge of funding procedures of sponsored industry trials, federal government agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services such as the National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration, Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ)
- Knowledge of health care systems and hospital/clinic operations and knowledge of budgeting and financial management practices preferred.
