Find your purpose with CentraCare working as a Security & Safety Officer ensuring the security of our Paynesville campuses. As the Security & Safety Officer, your main responsibilities are monitoring and protecting hospital/clinic patients, employees, guests and property, preserving the peace, preventing crime and detecting and detaining violators of the law. Daily tasks to include but not limited to responding to hospital emergency codes, patrolling of lots, writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, and liaison to orient responding law enforcement agencies.
This position will provide services at the Paynesville, Richmond and Eden Valley locations.
Schedule:
- Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday shifts | 6:00 pm – 2:00 am
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay begins at $20.00 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $18.68 - $28.01 per hour
- Evening and weekend shift differentials

Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Security Management within 6 months of hire OR 1-3 years of experience in security, policing, training in law enforcement or private security in lieu of education required
- Minimum training and certification up to the level of EMR within 6 months of hire required
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record in good standing required
- BCA background study required
To be eligible for the hiring bonus, you must be an external candidate who has not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire and be hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position.
