What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist position at CentraCare?
The Long Prairie Hospital is looking to add a Surgical Technologist to their team! As a Surgical Technologist, you will perform a combination of tasks before, during and after surgery to assist the surgical team. You will be responsible for preparing the operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures as well as tracking inventory of surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety. In this role, you will work closely with physicians, CRNA’s, registered nurses and other surgical personnel to deliver quality patient care.
- Schedule
- Full-time | 64 hours every two weeks | Long Prairie Hospital
- Monday - Friday | 7 am – 5 pm
- Every third weekend on call | 2-3 nights per week on call | Rotating holidays
- Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay begins at $25.98 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $24.59 - $36.89 per hour

- Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes to on-call situations
To be eligible for all recruitment incentives, you must be an external candidate who has not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire and be hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position. Relocation assistance also requires that you currently live more than 50 miles from the Long Prairie Hospital and move within 30 miles of it within 120 days of employment.
