Summary:
This diagnostician is a dynamic member of the special education department, supporting multi-disciplinary teams in a variety of special education functions including eligibility, service delivery, and instructional support processes.
Essential Functions/Typical Tasks:
- Conduct educational evaluation components in accordance with eligibility requirements and state-mandated special education timelines.
- Analyze assessment data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings as a member of eligibility committees.
- Collaborate with the evaluation team, school staff, and families to develop a comprehensive overview of student needs.
- Coordinate with school staff and families to meet the needs of students with disabilities based upon evaluation results and disability impact.
- Coordinate specialized programming, including but not limited to homebound services.
- Other duties may be assigned through the immediate supervisor.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Special Education licensure required; Educational Diagnostician certification or related Master's degree preferred.
Salary:
Range based on the 2024-2025 Teacher Salary Scale is $53,000 - 82,843 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. An additional administrative stipend is also available in the amount of $4,740.
