As a Juvenile Court Liaison, you will serve as a vital link between the juvenile justice system and community resources, ensuring that youth receive appropriate support and guidance. This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work and a valid driver's license, with core competencies in case management and conflict management. By leveraging your relevant skills in social work, you will contribute to the rehabilitation and positive development of at-risk youth in the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understands and follows Central Alabama Wellness policies and procedures.
- Provides direct mental health services to children and youth, including intake assessments, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Conducts psychosocial evaluations and ensures accurate diagnoses per DMH standards.
- Coordinates care by referring to appropriate service providers and following up on treatment progress.
- Maintains accurate, timely documentation and meets quarterly billing requirements.
- Provides expert consultation to community agencies and serves as a liaison with Chilton and Shelby County Juvenile Courts.
- Offers expert witness testimony as needed.
- Delivers professional presentations and public education on mental health and substance abuse.
- Engages in ongoing professional development through training and collaboration with colleagues.
- Responds promptly to clinical emergencies and upholds high professional standards in all interactions.
