Job Summary
Veterinary Technicians work closely with the Veterinarian to complete a multitude of medical tasks. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Restraining cats and dogs for vaccines, blood draws, and other medical procedures.
- Educating clients on health basics and clinic offerings.
- A detailed knowledge of animal husbandry, prescription preventatives, and common ailments for companion animals.
- Lab procedures.
- Dental prep, scaling/polishing/assessment, and dental radiography procedures.
- Surgery prep and assist procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
Licensure is not required but will receive preference in hiring.
Non-licensed veterinary technicians with 3 or more years at a progressive practice will be considered.
