BRANCH MANAGER β The Central Arkansas Library System seeks a full-time Branch Manager for the Amy Sanders Library (10200 Johnson DR, Sherwood, AR 72120). An ALA accredited MLS, current work toward an MLS, or the equivalent of a four-year college degree plus three years related experience and/or training is required. Previous related management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must possess strong customer service skills and enthusiasm for working with a diverse population of all ages. Supervisory, leadership, and project management skills are required, along with an open-minded and progressive approach to library service. Strong local community involvement is essential. Responsibilities include oversight of all daily library operations, staff supervision and training as well as hiring and evaluation, cash handling, and scheduling. Knowledge of electronic information services and library technology is essential. Spanish language skills highly desirable. Schedule will include some nights and weekends. Salary starts at $55,307/yr and includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company paid retirement, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay.
