Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in various imaging techniques, including but not limited to diagnostic radiology, mammography, and nuclear medicine. The Radiologic Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using advanced imaging equipment such as C-ARM, X-rays, CT scans, and MRI machines.
- Conduct mammography procedures following established protocols to ensure accurate results.
- Administer nuclear medicine tests as required for patient diagnosis.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide urgent care imaging services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while operating imaging equipment.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare team members and patients.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff or students in radiologic techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of imaging services.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred; experience in urgent care settings is a plus.
- Proficiency in performing sonography is desirable.
- Familiarity with Level I and Level II Trauma Center protocols is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
