What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consolidated Loan Processing Assistant position at Central Bancompany?
Provides a wide variety of clerical and administrative support to Commercial and Consumer Loan Officers.
Coordinates loan closings with customers for new loans, extensions/modifications of existing loans.
Provides backup support to other loan assistants when necessary.
Provides backup support in answering the phones and greeting customers for new accounts, mortgage loans and the teller line to ensure all bank customers are being waited on in a timely manner.
Exercises independent judgement under moderate supervision.
Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
Works directly with lenders to provide administrative support in all areas of the loan process. This includes handling phone calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments and meetings and assisting with meeting preparation.
Work exception reports as requested by lender to ensure that items needed are obtained. This includes Technical Exception lists, Expired/Cancelled Insurance reports, Past Due Reports.
Work directly with customers to facilitate processing of loan payments and loan advances as requested.
Coordinate closings with customers for approved commercial and installment loans. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of loans in progress, technical exceptions, loan documents and other banking related questions.
Work with Loan Processing team to ensure all documents required for new loans are obtained.
Order supporting documentation for closings as needed (includes flood determinations, credit bureaus, appraisals, title work, UCC Searches, insurance etc.).
Prepare Loan Documentation for loan closings.
Close loans with customers as needed.
Book new loans after loan closing with the customer. This includes filing and perfecting liens timely, disbursing funds to borrower, scanning all documents into the electronic loan file.
Provide accurate product information and actively seek cross sell opportunities.
Provide backup support to branches, other loan assistants, all lenders and all areas of the Loan Administration Department.

Establish, implement and maintain methods and procedures to assure all loan actions are processed correctly and timely.
Maintain a comprehensive procedures manual on all job responsibilities.

Operate a variety of office administration equipment and programs.

Requirements:
High school education or equivalent
At least two years of experience in general office work or completion of an associate's degree in administrative office systems or a related area
Previous experience as a loan assistant is desirable
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong customer relation skills and ability to communicate effectively and work well with supervisor, co-workers and customers in a cooperative, positive manner
Typing skills, 50 WPM minimum
Letter formatting skills
Computer experience, desirable
Attention to detail
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment
