Job Description:
The Credit Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Credit Administration Manager and all members of Credit Administration. This role will focus on improving business performance and decision-making through reporting, data analysis, credit procedures, credit templates, and training. This individual will develop and maintain a wholistic view of existing and emerging risks across the company and within the Bank's credit portfolios. As needed, this role may interact with regulators and auditors during their review of the Bank's credit portfolios.
Additionally, the Credit Portfolio Manager will work with market lending teams to identify training needs and equip the market Senior Lenders and Credit Analysis Managers with training curriculum for lenders and credit analysts.
Functionally, the Credit Portfolio Manager will report through Credit Administration, directly reporting to the Credit Administration Manager who reports to the Deputy Chief Credit Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate credit personnel, market CEOs, senior lenders, line lenders, credit analysts, and internal control personnel in Compliance, Audit, Loan Review, and Loan Operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Credit Administration process, procedure, and portfolio monitoring, which may require data analysis, report production, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Assist in and evaluate credit origination efforts across the Bank's markets by recommending process and procedure enhancements and standardization, evaluate training needs and lead projects associated with origination and portfolio management best practices.
- Coordinate with the Credit Administration team to develop credit presentations for Credit Committee and Board Meetings.
- Support the CCO and Credit Committee in the credit administration and portfolio monitoring activities of the bank.
- Produce useful credit reporting and support credit stress testing activities.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by senior management, which will include periodic special projects that require high confidentiality.
This position can work from any of the affiliate Central Bank offices in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, or Florida.
Requirements:Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university required.
- 5-7 years of banking experience with extensive knowledge of credit underwriting and risk assessment.
- Significant experience and skills in data analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and professional presence, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and team building skills.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional leaders and multi-tasking on competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively on both short and long-term priorities.
- Ability to interpret and simplify complex data into accessible, impactful insights, presenting these insights through compelling visuals, presentations and charts.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
