Job Summary
The Portfolio Manager works directly with clients to develop and implement strategies that address their investment, financial, insurance, tax, estate planning needs, and more. The Portfolio Manager will work closely with other Advisors on the team to provide advice on all aspects of the client relationship. They are responsible for investment management, assisting with new business development, and client retention. A successful Portfolio Manager will be an attentive listener, driven to grow personally and professionally, an experienced investment manager, and will be clear and concise in presenting the services offered by Central Trust Company.
Duties and Functions
- Proactively contact and meet with clients to provide investment guidance, staying abreast of current economic and market conditions to facilitate meaningful portfolio management
- Discuss asset allocation, stocks, bonds, mutual fund, ETF, and other investment assets with clients on an ongoing basis
- Manage and trade client accounts in accordance with their Investment Policy Statement, company guidelines, and best practices
- Complete assigned compliance reviews before deadlines
- Meet with prospective clients to generate new business and portfolio growth
- Document client interactions
- Be actively involved with local civic, community, or professional groups
- Attend events sponsored by Central Trust / Central Bank
- Option to be a thought leader within the company by writing, speaking, and presenting through various mediums

Minimum and Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum : Undergraduate Degree
Minimum : 7 years industry experience
Preferred : Undergraduate degree in business such as finance, economics, or accounting
Preferred : Designation such as CFA, or CFP
Preferred : Graduate degree such as MBA, or MS in Finance
Preferred : 10 years industry experience
