FULL-TIME HOURLY (FT) : These employees work from 30 to 40 hours each week and are paid on an hourly basis. They are eligible for the same benefits as salaried employees and paid time off is paid at 8 hours per day.
JOB SUMMARY :
Prepares commercial loans, renewals, consumer mortgages and equity lines for closing and ensures that proper documentation is utilized in order to properly protect the bank from risk of loss.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years’ direct experience working with commercial, consumer or mortgage loan documents
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED :
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Obtains the necessary loan approval information from the lender and determines the necessary documentation and any outside professional help required to close the approved loan.
2. Contacts all outside professional help to establish time frames, costs, and requirements to complete the needed documentation (such as : title work, lien searches, flood certifications, surveys, etc.)
3. Ensures that business customers are in good standing prior to completing loan documentation.
4. Completes chattel searches on all business borrowers obtaining a business assets secured loan.
5. Obtains required documentation before closing such as appraisals, appraisal reviews, hazard insurance, etc.
6. Communicates with the lender as to any borrower information or documentation needed prior to loan closing.
7. Follows regulatory requirements as necessary, including, proper documentation of consumer purpose loans. Reviews loan packages to ensure documentation complies with all bank and regulatory policies and guidelines.
8. Follows up on loans sent for closing to ensure the package is returned promptly for booking.
9. Prepares all necessary loan documents using Capital Stream, Empower, APPRO and Microsoft Word.
10. Advises the lender as to the proper loan closing procedures, including proper execution of the documents.
11. Provides for efficient turnaround of loan documentation that meets the quality service needs of the bank and our customers.
12. Files UCC online with Secretary of State.
13. Assists Quality Control with post-closing review to ensure that all documentation has been completed and properly executed, before uploading the loan.
14. Assists Quality Control in reviewing loan disbursement to ensure all proceeds were issued as directed by customer and lender.
15. Assists Quality Control in identifying and notating technical exceptions on the documentation checklist.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
