What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remittance Processing Technician (full-time), Image Processing position at Central Bank?
FULL-TIME HOURLY: These employees work from 30 to 40 hours each week and are paid on an hourly basis. They are eligible for the same benefits as salaried employees and paid time off is paid at 8 hours per day.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for a variety of activities related to Remittance Processing services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED and one year of data entry experience
- Six months previous lock box experience preferred
- Experience with remittance processing systems preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Able to lift and move trays of mail up to 20 pounds
- Excellent 10-key dexterity with good typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven record of teamwork and cooperation
- Strong organization, time management, teamwork and customer service skills
- Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision, dependable
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receives payments from the post office.
2. Opens envelopes and ensures the work is for the client you are processing.
3. Processes manual, retail, and wholesale lockboxes according to procedure.
4. Prepares deposits and checks for manual, retail, and wholesale lockboxes for capture and forwards to Item Processing.
5. Prepares outgoing lockbox materials for courier, mail or client pick up.
6. Captures and images coupons, checks, or full-page client material on mail extraction scanner, or table top scanner.
7. Keys items and balances transactions.
8. Prints internal reports.
9. Transmits client file to their host for posting to their customer accounts.
10. Maintains input files on the secure network to meet regulatory requirements.
11. Creates DIPS, client reports, PDF files (if required), and ICL files according to procedure.
12. Stores all client imaged material in secure location according to retention schedule.
13. Maintains client volume logs daily.
14. Complies with all pertinent regulations and policies including HIPAA, Privacy and Information Security.
15. Maintains an error ratio as defined in annual performance appraisal
16. Cross trains as requested by management for full department efficiency.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
