What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog bather/Front Desk position at CENTRAL BARK DOGGY DAY CARE?
Jack of all trades! Central Bark is looking for a special person who can do it all! You’ll help the groomer with bathing, and act as the “first face” of the company as a front desk/customer service team member.
Looking for an outgoing, creative, and sales-oriented individual with strong administrative and organizational skills who will be responsible for following up on leads, answering phones, creating email and text Marketing campaigns, scheduling appointments, talking with customers, building customer relationships, administrating Social media content and management, running the front desk and supervising the shift, acting as a dog bather under the supervision of our Master Groomer, and taking ownership of the retail area by increasing its overall revenue to the store’s bottom line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Works as bather as assigned, which can include bathing, brushing, blowing out dogs, maintaining the cleanliness of the grooming area, updating grooming, records, and other duties as may be required. Dog bathing experience is required. Works regular scheduled store shifts as the front desk/receptionist, which will be both weekdays and weekends at any time the facility is open. Interact with both human and canine clients. Understands Central Bark’s science-based approach to Whole Dog Care to confidently explain it to new and existing customers.
With the support of the owner and manager, accurately tracks customer journey in order to illustrate revenue generated by actions, systems, and strategies set forth by the customer experience representative.
Sales, Gingr, customer service, social media management and/or marketing Experience is preferred. Prior work with canines is helpful in this role, but your experience may have also been acquired in the form of pet ownership or previous pet ownership. You will need a great sense of time management and a “can do” attitude to succeed in this position.
Ability to perform a variety of demanding physical activities, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds (whether it is a bag of dog food, a crate or a dog), standing for long periods of time indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Interacting with customers, potential customers, veterinary offices and others in person, via emails, texts, or telephone is a big part of this job. Typing for extended periods of time is also required. Advancement in the company is based on your initiative and progression through a structured training program.
