Central Bark in Charlotte, NC is looking for a part-time AM or PM Dog Daycare Attendant who can work 3-5 days per week for ~20-30 hours per week.
The part Part-time Attendant must be able to work one of the shift times listed below:
- 6:30 am - 12pm pm
- 12pm pm - 6:30 pm
Ability to work one Weekend shift (6:30am-9:30am or 3:30pm-6:30pm) each week is required
Summary: Daycare Attendants will spend the majority of their shift in our indoor/outdoor play yard interacting with our daycare and boarding dogs. Approximately 60% of your time will be on your feet supervising dog play groups and cleaning up after dogs, 20% will be crating, feeding and bringing dogs to-and-from owners, and the remaining 20% is spent on general cleaning of the facility.
Daycare Attendants work hand-in-hand with the front desk staff to keep everyone aware of dog related information, which allows the front desk to communicate relevant information to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Caring for and supervising dog play groups according to the latest science-based dog behavior and training knowledge received during training. This will include playing with dogs, working on group play skills to increase safety, engaging in enrichment activities, brushing, petting, holding, crating, leashing, collaring, clothing (when jackets are needed), applying first aid, feeding, medicating, cleaning up after dogs, etc.
- Works as a team member with others and management in providing dog daycare, sleepover, and Stay & Play services.
- Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog waste, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, cleaning crates and occasionally bathing dogs.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment at all times for the dogs in our care. Responsible for providing and documenting information of individual dog’s behavior and needs.
- Responsible for reading and knowing all Company Policies and Procedures.

Education and/or Experience: Dog handling skills are preferred but not necessary. Skills may be in the form of previous pet ownership, working with animals, volunteering at animal rescues/shelters, etc.
Physical Skills: Ability to perform a variety of demanding physical activities, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds (whether it is a bag of dog food, a crate or a dog), standing for long periods of time and working outdoors. Grasping, pinching and pulling skills are also needed to leash and collar dogs as well as control them.
Language Skills: Ability to read dog information including names, medication and feeding instructions, schedules and the like. Be able to communicate dog issues with management either via written or oral communication.
Computer Skills: A basic understanding of Windows-based applications is helpful.
