Central Business Systems, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced Regional Field Service Technician to provide installation, service, and repair of copiers, printers, and mailing equipment for our customers. This position primarily involves installation, corrective maintenance, and field service support with a need for basic IT skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel daily to customer sites within a 1–2-hour radius of Lexington, KY, with occasional trips beyond this range.
- Perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on large copiers, printers, and mailing equipment (more than just installation).
- Conduct installations, user training, and software configurations for printing and mailing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including error codes, connectivity problems, and mechanical failures.
- Utilize mailing software to configure jobs, troubleshoot, and train end-users.
- Deliver and install equipment, including loading and unloading using company vehicles (box truck or minivan).
- Engage in ongoing training (online or in-classroom) to stay updated on industry best practices and technologies.
- At least 2 years of copier or mailing equipment experience, including corrective maintenance (installation-only experience is not sufficient).
- At least 1 year of field service experience (working on-site for customers).
- Basic IT and networking skills, including installing printer drivers, troubleshooting network connectivity, and working with IP addresses.
- Proficiency in reading technical service manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Ability to manage trouble tickets efficiently and coordinate work tasks with dispatch.
- Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation (all travel is done via personal vehicles, with mileage reimbursement).
- Ability to move and transport equipment using hand carts, dollies, and vans.
- Experience with mid- level copiers (45-65ppm).
- Familiarity with Sharp or Toshiba copiers.
- Experience with mailing systems is a plus, though training will be provided.
- Starting pay: $25 - $28 per hour.

- This position is based out of Lexington, KY, with primary service areas including Georgetown, Paris, Nicholasville, Richmond, and Berea.
- Applicants must be comfortable traveling daily but typically within a 1-hour radius.
- This is an experienced technician role—entry-level copier installers will not be considered.
Salary : $25 - $28
