We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Clinical Safety Supervisor - Facility Site Review (RN) in the Quality Improvement and Population Health Department.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORReporting to the Clinical Safety Quality Manager, this position:
- Supervises the Facility Site Review (FSR) Clinical Safety Team, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides guidance on clinical safety functions
- Oversees, supervises, and conducts FSR processes as a Certified Master Trainer
- Supervises, mentors and trains assigned staff
- Coordinates and implements Quality Improvement and Population Health programs and processes, including Facility Site Review (FSR), Medical Record Review (MRR), and Physical Accessibility Review (PAR)
- Develops, coordinates, and conducts training for Quality Improvement and Population Health staff
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Quality Improvement and Population Health department collaborate with all partners both internal and external to promote member wellness, facilitate excellent care delivery, and support healthier communities towards attaining health equity. We are comprehensive and address both quality and safety of medical and behavioral health care provided to our members. The clinical safety quality team's goal is to ensure a competent and safe provider network by performing Facility Site Reviews. We work closely with providers, and members to resolve, and correct, issues related to quality of clinical care.

- Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of clinical nursing
- Medical practice operations and healthcare delivery systems
- Principles and practices of healthcare quality improvement
- Principles and practices of customer service
- Managed care, the Medi-Cal program, and related policy
- Methods and techniques of research, analysis, and reporting
- Ability to:
- Train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff, promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation, and motivate staff to achieve goals and objectives
- Plan, organize and prioritize the work of others, delegate effectively, coordinate activities and projects, follow up on work assignments, and adhere to timelines
- Develop work plans and workflows and organize and prioritize Clinical Safety Unit activities
- Act as a technical resource and explain regulations, processes and programs related to area of assignment
- Assist with the development and supervise the implementation of projects, systems, programs, policies, and procedures
- Evaluate medical records and other health care data
- Education and Experience:
- Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California
- Possession and continued maintenance of Certified Master Trainer certification issued by DHCS
- Associate's degree in Nursing and a minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including a minimum of two years of quality improvement experience and one year of lead or senior level experience (a Master's degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
OTHER INFORMATION
- We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
- While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
Typical areas in Zone 1: Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles area, San Diego area
Typical areas in Zone 2: Fresno area, Bakersfield, Central Valley (with the exception of Sacramento), Eastern California, Eureka area
Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. These benefits are unavailable to temporary employees while on an assignment with the Alliance.
