Lead Clinical Analyst - BCBALocation : Mariposa County, California; Merced County, California; Monterey County, California; San Benito County, California; Santa Cruz County, California; Teleworker in CaliforniaAccepting applications through Monday, January 6, 2025 by 5 : 00pm.We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Lead Clinical Analyst - BCBA in the Utilization Management - Behavioral Health (BCBA) Department.WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Reporting to the Utilization Management Manager - Behavioral Health (BCBA), this position : Ensures effective delivery of behavioral health services to Alliance members and leads Clinical Analysts-BCBA in the performance of this workCollaborates with healthcare providers, internal teams, caregivers, and members in the review and evaluation of treatment plans, including the most complex treatment plansActs as a subject matter expert and lead to subordinate staffPerforms a variety of activities in support of the Utilization Management (UM) Manager-Behavioral HealthTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE We are seeking a BCBA who holds a master's degree in applied behavior analysis or similar field of study and has an active certification in good standing to join our team. As a Lead Clinical Analyst, you will have worked extensively in the field of ABA with expert knowledge of treatment plan review and clinical necessity. This role is ideal for individuals who are ready to pivot (in terms of environment from in the field to working remotely) to utilize your knowledge and expertise to ensure quality and ethical behavioral health services are delivered to our members.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Knowledge of : Behavioral Health Therapy (BHT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) best practicesDHCS and NCQA regulations related to behavioral health and ABA servicesThe principles and practices of clinical review and documentation, including BHT authorization and documentation requirementsBehavior Analyst Certification Board ethical guidelinesElectronic Health Records (EHR) systemsResearch, analysis, and reporting methodsAbility to : Analyze, interpret, and apply legal, regulatory, and contractual language, policies, procedures and guidelines, and legislative and regulatory directivesConduct clinical reviews of behavioral health treatment plans, ensure alignment with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, assess the medical necessity and appropriateness of services, and make recommendations for modifications, as neededTake thorough and accurate case notes and maintain organized and accurate recordsPerform data entry into database and EHR systemsAct as a technical resource, provide guidance related to area of assignment, and explain related regulations, processes, and programsLead, train, mentor and motivate staff, and promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperationCollaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersEducation and Experience : Possession and continued maintenance of current and unrestricted certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or other field of study that has met the requirements for BCBA certification by the BACBSix years of experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting performing ABA therapy and behavioral health treatment plan reviews; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifyingOTHER INFORMATION We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz) : $99,139 - $158,642 USD Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced) : $90,213 - $144,352 USDOUR BENEFITS Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees.
