POSITION SUMMARY:
The EV Equity Specialist (EVES) will work under the direction of the EV Equity Program Manager to implement the EV Equity Program.[KH1] The purpose of the EV Equity Program is to facilitate access to electric vehicle technology in and the disadvantaged communities in California with an emphasis in, but not limited to, the Sacramento area and the Northern California regions (NorCal). This is done by providing guidance and assisting potential EV buyers in submitting for available state and regional EV incentive available to income-eligible NorCal residents. The EVES will process EV Equity Program referrals and conduct other duties as described below.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide education and assist income-eligible NorCal residents with the EV incentive applications process, including:
o Set up and facilitate or support EV educational workshops
o Conduct preliminary eligibility screening of prospective clients via one-on-one appointments
o Enroll clients in EV Equity Program (program agreement form)
o Provide clients support regarding EV options and pricing before submitting EV incentive application(s)
o Assess client’s EV readiness in regard to vehicle selection and charging capability
o Refer clients for EV financing and credit repair through DCAP and other affiliated partner organizations
o Assist clients in submitting EV incentive applications, including collection of required documents and uploading to
incentive program application portals
o Document and maintain records of all client interactions in a CRM platform
o Answer telephone and emails, responding promptly and appropriately to all client inquiries daily
o Assist in preparing reports for EV Equity Program funders, as assigned
o Assist in creating and maintaining a recurring EV Equity Program newsletter
o Attend community events to conduct outreach
o Attend in-person community workshops to assist residents in incentive application submission(s) via portable
technology
o Maintain knowledge of the newest electric vehicle technology and availability
o Maintain knowledge of various state and regional incentives in the clean energy sector, not limited to electric
vehicles
· Communicate with EV incentive program staff
· Communicate with financial partners, as assigned
· Communicate with affiliated programs
· Communicate with CCAC Marketing and Communications department regarding EV outreach activities, including EV test
drive events, dealership participation in down payment incentive programs, follow-up with inactive EV Equity Program
clients, and other activities, as assigned
· Document translation into Spanish language
· Presentations, conversations, and oral reading in Spanish language
· All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
· AA, AS degree (BA, BS preferred)
· Experience communicating effectively with community members and project partners
· Experience using computer software programs, particularly Google Apps, Teams and all Microsoft 365 platforms, &
CRM
· Experience interacting with a diverse population
· Experience with all aspects of cultural competency
· Capable of working independently, cooperatively and responsibly
· Experience and knowledge about electric vehicles preferred
· Able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
· Experience and knowledge of auto loan and lease processes preferred
· Experience working in environmental justice preferred
TRAVEL: To events (e.g. EV outreach events and Ride and Drives) across the Northern California and Sierras region from
Sacramento to northern border of California, meetings with partners and stakeholders, or other purposes as needed. Some
overnight travel may be required. Periodic travel to CCAC headquarters in Fresno as well.
DRIVING AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License and applicable CA mandated auto insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to obtain COVID 19 and Flu vaccinations. Lift up to 20 (twenty) pounds.
AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY: Will work with EV Program Manager, Regional DCAP Manager and/or Co-Executive Director(s) to oversee interns as needed.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE INFORMATION: Must maintain confidentiality of personal client and staff information exposed to when working in files and preparing reports.
