Description
Since 1954 the Central California Blood Center (CCBC) has been the leading source of blood products for the Central Valley. Serving a population of over 1.5 million people, CCBC works with thousands of generous blood donors and local organizations to collect blood throughout the Central Valley and provide those vital blood products to our network of 30 hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings and Mariposa Counties. Job Summary & Distinguishing Characteristics
The Senior Applications Systems Analyst designs, develops, maintains, and modifies computer applications and systems; models, develops, and assists in administering databases, network, and computer systems. Will be responsible for learning the full structure and functionality of current blood banking system, and its Cloud based operation and assist in its implementation and maintenance as well as other supporting software systems and interfaces. The Senior Applications Systems Analyst should have an intermediate to advanced level of skill competency in using SQL or similar tools to create the needed dynamic dashboard, reports, queries, and applications.
Essential Functions
Incumbents are fully competent to perform a wide range of programming, reporting and systems analysis work. In-depth knowledge of key programming language and scripting is required. Incumbents require minimal supervision and may assist in the training of the Applications Systems Analyst. In addition to the functions of of the Applications Systems Analyst.
- Responsible for the lead administration of all regulatory blood-driven software and applications.
- Develops, reviews, and elicits requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solutions and develops functional design specifications.
- Designs and develops interface and integration points between applications and information systems.
- Researches, analyzes, and recommends information technology solutions for departments; prepares user, operations, and systems documentation; coordinates and manages implementation. Maintains data accuracy by conducting preliminary data analysis to ensure high data quality.
- Creates, modifies, and generates complex dashboards, reports, and queries; analyzes technical data.
- Lead or assist in the design and maintenance of the internal intranet using SharePoint.
- Implementation of new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new database systems.
- Plans, develops, implements, and maintains security roles and responsibilities to meet evolving business and user needs in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Examines, models, and interprets data to support predictive analytical decisions and quantify informational conclusions.
- Assists with general server and network maintenance.
- Assists in implementing in-house and vendor-supplied information technology systems.
- Second-tier support for all data, voice, and network communications.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
- A clean DMV record to be insurable under CCBC’s fleet program.
- At least 4 or more years of full-time, paid work experience designing, developing, and modifying computer applications, or developing and administering computer databases and various flavors of operating systems equivalent to that of CCBC’s Applications Systems Analyst.
- In-depth knowledge of power scripting, and key programming language(s) (Windows PS, Python, Java).
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle, Crystal reports, power scripting, programming languages, and basic networking including Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting software problems and debugging programs and applications.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data, network, and voice communications; including wireless and Active Directory.
- Strong service-oriented skills including interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to collaborate with people at all levels in the organization.
- Technical writing is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced level skill level with Cisco networking: including wireless connectivity.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level with both local and cloud backup solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of writing complex SQL queries to provide business intelligence reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux RedHat, SQL, Oracle, Office 365 (SharePoint) and Crystal reports.
- Strong knowledge of AI tools.
- Mobile app creation knowledge is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of progressive involvement with various core MAK Systems blood banking software and applications.
Preferred:
- A technical AS degree or BS degree in information systems or computer science is desired.
