Central Care Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Food Service Director for their Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing location.
Duties:
- Directly oversees Dining Service Manager, Supervisors and Dietary Aides.
- Works directly with the Assistant Dining Service Manager and the Supervisors to ensure that they are monitoring all FOH staff, throughout the entire course of daily operation.
- Monitors and delegates all staff jobs and duties to ensure they are being done properly and in accordance with company policy and expectations.
- Makes certain that all staff are in compliance with ALL company policies.
- Works with staff to make sure that all meals start on time and operate smoothly throughout the meal services.
- Monitors the stocking of all kitchenettes and works with the Floor Stock person to make sure all items are stocked accordingly.
- Develops FOH schedule and supervisor's schedule, making certain that all shifts are covered and fills in where and when needed.
- Performs any necessary in-service staff training and monitors staff’s adherence to the new procedures/policies.
- Monitors all food temperatures, at all three meals, ensuring all hot and cold foods are being held and served at the proper temperatures.
- Routinely tests trays for temperature food and adaptive equipment accuracy.
- Regularly inspect all serving and sanitation areas for equipment functionality, cleanliness and job completion.
- Ensures that proper sanitation procedure is being followed when serving food, transporting food and cleaning after meals.
- Meets with the resident to discuss any comments/concerns.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Business or Hospitality Management or 4-5 years relevant management experience.
- HACCP or ServSave Managers Certification required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Previous experience in volume food production preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
