Position Summary:
Working under the guidance of the Medical Director and Laboratory Technologists/Technicians, the Lab Assistant performs specimen collection and specimen processing. To prepare clinical specimens for chemistry and bacteriological analysis and perform CLIA waived testing. To perform related work as required.

Required Education:
High School Graduate or GED with previous Phlebotomy training and experience
Required Certification:
Phlebotomy certification is preferred
BLS is required within 30 days of hire
Other:
Must have training commensurate with phlebotomy certification approved by Lab Director or Assistant Lab Director
Six (6) months phlebotomy experience in the health care field is preferred.
