Under the direction of supervisor or other licensed ultrasound technologist, assumes the responsibility and accountability for producing diagnostic procedures on anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site ultrasound tech. The Student Ultrasound Technologist maintains a safe environment and conducts patient education as necessary. Operates under the guidance of ultrasound tech and direct supervision of a licensed ultrasound technologist. Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. Works in collaboration with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for patients. Utilizes established policies and procedures of TCRH and maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. He/she must be able to recognize and assess changes in mental and/or physical conditions resulting in life threatening conditions.

Education:
High School diploma - documentation must be provided within 30 days of hire
Must be currently enrolled in accredited two-year accredited ultrasound program - provide letter from accredited program
Skill:
BCLS certified within 30 days of hire
