JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Advancement, the Annual Giving Officer is
responsible for planning and implementing strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and
stewardship individual donors to support the Fund for Central Catholic. This position will guide the
direct mail and digital solicitation strategy. The Annual Giving officer will focus on strategically
expanding the organization's annual giving program to increase the base of annual and recurring
gifts significantly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for annual donors giving unrestricted gifts to the Fund.
- Secure new, renewed, or increased funding from individuals through online giving, direct mail and digital campaigns, special events, and direct proposals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with individual donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
- Implement plans for Giving Tuesday, the end of the calendar year, the fiscal year, and other giving days.
- Work effectively with the Director of Advancement to identify new donors and build strategies for engaging and encouraging donors to give at higher levels.
- Plans, coordinates, and attends events, meetings, or other activities as requested by supervisor.
- Work with the Director of Advancement to create and support a strong presence for graduates, with particular emphasis on graduates of the last decades. Develop a pool of prospects for individual cultivation and solicitation from this constituency.
- Assist with the planning and operational execution of alums, parent and grandparent giving
- Develop strategies and recommend improvements to Annual Giving's online presence in support of Annual Giving's donor and dollar goals.
- Integrate digital and social strategies into print and other traditional Annual Giving campaigns.
- Support annual giving focused initiatives as needed, communicating with alums through all applicable channels and facilitating involvement.
- Collaborates with other office staff on programs that engage alumni through multiple channels and spur alums to donate/support
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful annual fundraising strategies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of move management principles is beneficial.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Possess good skills in organization and written and oral communication
- Ability to manage a portfolio of alums to steward and solicit gifts for the school
- Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate a range of special events.
- Ability to design and write basic promotional material.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment. Some weekend and evening
work and limited travel are expected.
