Director of Campus Ministry

Central Catholic High School
San Antonio, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 3/4/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/4/2025

Description

INTRODUCTION:

Central Catholic High School is searching for a leader with a contagious deep personal faith and dedication to the Marianist charism who will direct the efforts of evangelization in the school community. This enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated person is skillful at igniting the fire of faith within our young men and excels at mentoring a team of adult campus ministers.

The Campus Ministry program seeks to nurture and develop the spiritual lives of our students – forming them to live lives filled with faith, hope, and love. We form them to become men of prayer, community, evangelization, and service. Through monthly Masses, daily prayer, retreats, service opportunities, liturgical choir, the sacrament of reconciliation, the LIFE team, and other formational activities, we invite and encourage every student to seek God’s presence in all things and live authentic Christian lives. Our faith community strives to reflect Christ’s care and concern for all people as we draw inspiration from the founder of the Marianist family, Blessed W. Joseph Chaminade. It is one of discipleship and brotherhood, fostering transformative encounters with God.

JOB SUMMARY:

This person oversees the entire programming and personnel of Campus Ministry, which functions as a dimension of a whole Catholic and Marianist education. Campus Ministry works in special collaboration with the Mission Integration Team, the Religion department, the Dean of Students, and the parent club to form a school community that is reflective of the values of the Marianist family.

This person discerns and implements new programming, listening to the needs and gifts of the campus community. All programs designed to integrate faith in the culture of the school community come under the Director’s purview.

Mentorship provides an experiential and voluntary dimension to religious formation and faith development in the Marianist tradition.

This person recognizes, encourages, and creates ministry programming that presents diverse experiences of Catholic faith to the students. The Director of Campus ministry collaborates and teaches the student body of the breadth of Christ’s mission through a variety of styles of worship, prayer, justice, service, and evangelization.
