Associate College Director/Pastor
Reports to: Austin Arends (College and Residency Pastor)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
The Associate College Director/Pastor will work closely alongside the College Pastor to implement College Central in the Sioux Falls area. This role is vital in shepherding college-aged students and will play a key part in overseeing the administrative and organizational elements of the college ministry. The ideal candidate will bring an energetic, passionate presence to the team and a deep desire to see students grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Administrative tasks for College Central weekly programming
- Implement a follow-up process for first-time guests
- Organize roles and responsibilities for College Central on Sunday nights
Volunteer Management:
- Recruit, support, and train adult volunteer mentors
- Prepare and execute volunteer trainings to increase ownership
- Mentor students on the College Central Leadership Team
College Central & Special Events:
- Attend weekly College Central programming and leadership training
- Plan and execute Fall Getaway, Winter Conference, and Spring Break trips
- Assist in implementation of Fall Launch and other special events
Job Qualifications
Spiritual Maturity:

Administrative Gifting:
- Able to complete administrative tasks efficiently
- Ability to take initiative and to problem solve issues
Spiritual Care:
- Demonstrates an ability to care well for volunteers and students
- Goes the extra mile to grow relationships with students and volunteers
Experience:
- Ministry experience within a College ministry is preferred
- A ministry degree in Biblical or Theological studies (or similar discipline) is preferred
Skills
- Relational - Able to interact personably with students which demonstrates love for students and volunteers
- Problem solver - Willing to look into potential solutions when problems arise
- Implementor - Able to turn ideas into a reality
- Organized - Looks ahead and coordinates people/activities well
