Job Summary

Central Church is seeking a Filmmaker to create video content that enhances our mission of helping our congregation share the love of Jesus. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, demonstrating their ability to capture and edit engaging and high-quality videos. You will play a vital role in conveying our church’s visual identity and mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, capture, and edit videos that align with Central Church’s mission. Videos may be used in:
  • Weekend services
  • Ministry events
  • Social media
  • Website / digital
• Collaborate with church staff to understand ministry objectives and expected outcomes of video projects.
• Maintain and organize video equipment, video files, and resources.
• Manage project timelines and ensure all videos are delivered on schedule.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into our video projects.

Qualifications

• Follower of Jesus
• 4 years of experience in video production and editing. Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse video projects. Please submit a website, portfolio, or demo reel link as part of your application.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Knowledge of lighting and sound techniques for video production.
• Experience in graphic design or motion graphics (preferred), willing to work with graphic design team on aligning with brand standards.

• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, depending on the project.
• Ability to receive feedback on video work from ministry leaders & make changes accordingly.
• Proficient at live event capture & editing into recap content. 
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues on set.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

Other Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30-50 pounds.
• Required to be on location at Central Church and participate in live events and shoots; most Sundays and some weeknight evenings included based on ministry event schedules.
• Willing to pursue membership at Central Church, including completing a membership class and believer’s baptism.
