Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Location: NE Portland, OR 97232
Compensation: $20.84 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED or be actively pursuing.
- The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion, a felony conviction, or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform duties.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit. Must be approved by the Childcare Background Check Unit.
- Have, or able to obtain, Adult and Child/Infant CPR Certification AND Adult and Pediatric First Aid Certification prior to start date.
- Must be approved by the State of Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects.
- Able to climb stairs several times a day.
- Must adhere to agency’s non-discrimination policies.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, life-styles and sexual orientations, and treat individuals with respect and dignity.
- Provide regularly scheduled janitorial services and minor maintenance tasks as may be deemed necessary to maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients and staff including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms and offices; sweeping and damp mopping of all floors; emptying of waste/trash cans or baskets, changing light bulbs.
- Maintain a clean facility by following a defined cleaning schedule.
- Stock all bathrooms weekly or as needed, restock client’s cleaning supply closets weekly or as needed, ensure all roll towel dispensers are checked and refilled twice weekly or as needed, and ensure hand sanitizers and hand soap dispensers are filled weekly or as needed.
- Clean inside windows and sills when a room turnover is performed; utilize tools/materials provided to repair or replace damaged window screens.
- Maintains an adequate inventory level of both cleaning supplies and household paper products and submits a re-order list.
- Prepare vacant rooms for new clients. Including, the moving and assembly of furniture. Additionally, provide fresh linens, towels and other amenities and record and track program property as instructed.
- Complete any maintenance requests assigned by Supervisor and properly record paperwork.
- Maintain janitorial, furniture storage, and work areas in a neat and uncluttered condition.
- Maintain a suitable supply of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
- Responsible for timely removal of recyclable materials from various stations throughout offices and building.
- At times may be required to assist with receiving of deliveries or donations.
- Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners’ and outside providers’ patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.
- Attend all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand both written and oral instruction in English and record documentation of records in English.
- Ability to utilize material handling equipment; i.e. dollies, hand trucks and so forth to move items in excess of 60 lbs.
- Must be able to work inside or outside, under the following conditions; in heat or cold, uneven/even walking surfaces while using ladders or with hand in water.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to execute basic clerical skills to ensure accurate record keeping and paperwork associated with the job.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and general work place safety precautions including chemical handling and safety. Training in these areas will be provided by agency.
- Ability to understand, maintain and appreciate professional boundaries with clients and fellow staff members.
