GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Housing Program Manager, the Housing Services Supervisor serves as the first contact for intake to all supportive housing programs, the data management specialist for the Housing Department, and an integral part of the housing team to ensure best practices are implemented. This position requires knowledge of community resources, ability to make meaningful connections with housing members, precision data management skills, and ability to work as part of a team and individually. The Housing Services Supervisor must demonstrate the following personal and physical qualifications which are essential functions of the position:

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works collaboratively with the Housing Program Manager and Housing Administrative Supervisor to assure that the PSH Programs operate effectively and that program goals are obtained and maintained.
- Performs all intakes with new members, ensuring all needed data and documentation are collected for a warm handoff to the assigned Housing Specialist.
- Works with Support Staff to problem solve any identified issues from members applying for housing or seeking housing assistance.
- Returns all calls related to housing assistance and provides resources and information to callers; directs to CAM or local shelter as needed; coordinates other needs as identified.
- Manages the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), including entering all data in a timely manner and providing data for reporting to the Housing Department, DWIHN, HAND, and other regulatory bodies.
- Provides weekly status data to the Housing Program Manager and at the housing staff meetings.
- Participates in Status Meetings with CCIH staff and housing members.
- Attends community housing meetings, webinars, and trainings as identified by program requirements.
- Works with agency landlords and CCIH staff members to prevent eviction by assisting with resolving tenant issues and advocating for members.
- Works with the Housing Administrative Supervisor to develop new relationships with landlords.
- Provides community-related services as required by specific area of responsibility.
- Monitors and ensures compliance of their area of responsibility with the standards, goals, and/or outcomes mandated by direct contract or third-party payors.
- Provides reports of program evaluation measures, and quality indicators for areas of responsibility, consistent with organizational objectives.
- Assures coordination of services within other services areas within the agency.
- Remains current with best practices.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or public health, healthcare administration or other related field required or other combinations of education and experience which would provide the necessary abilities, qualities and skills listed required
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent public housing experience required
- Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs required
- Must possess and maintain a current Michigan’s chauffeur’s license and favorable driving record is required. Candidates who do not have a chauffeur’s license may still apply but must acquire one within 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) of employment. Demonstrated ability to follow State of Michigan driving laws, evidenced by an insurable driving record
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent leadership or progressive supervisory experience preferred
- Housing Quality Standards Certification or other certifications preferred
- Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting critical deadlines
- Experience working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, landlords and others involved in the delivery of services to members and their families
- Must be knowledgeable about housing resources appropriate to the needs of members/families

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Time in this position may be split between being in an office setting, home visits/inspections, attending, and implementing meetings, events, and programs at other locations.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Walking, sitting, driving and/or standing for prolong periods of time may be required
- Normal office environment with exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures; including outdoors in natural settings
- May work in environments, which may include potential exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant odors
- Interacts with a patient population exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable background check clearance, certifications, licensures and/or trainings as required by Central City Integrated Health, federal/state/county agencies, and other entities
