Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Millwork Estimator to join our team. This role will involve analyzing project plans, blueprints, and customer specifications to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for our millwork products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the millwork industry and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with sales, production, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for millwork products and installation services.
- Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs, and factor in market conditions, lead times, and project-specific requirements.
- Prepare detailed and professional estimates and quotations for clients, including all relevant scope of work and materials.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Assist in developing cost-saving strategies for clients without compromising on quality or project integrity.
- Stay current on industry trends, material costs, and new millwork products to provide the most accurate and competitive pricing.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and design teams to review specifications and make adjustments to estimates as needed.
- Provide support in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the millwork, construction, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of millwork products, including doors, windows, moldings, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Buildertrend, or similar tools) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A background in construction, millwork, or related fields is preferred.
- A degree or certification in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Must be familiar with Division 06 and Division 08
- Strong computer skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
