Overview:
A Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) wil work in the office with individuals who have been diagnosed with substance use disorders. The PRSS is expected to develop competency in providing trauma informed care and understand cultural considerations in a treatment setting. The PRSS will model personal responsibilty for recovery, and engage in individualized actitivities that promote recovery, well-being, and independence.
The PRSS will work directly with clients at Court Clinic Treatment to provide coordination of care and recovery support through various interventions. The PRSS will work to ensure the client maintains engagement with treatment while working towards their recovery. The PRSS will collaborate with the treatment team, barriers, develop natural support systems, and assist in crisis intervention as needed. The PRSS will be responsible for conducting urinalysis, maintaining accurate and timely documentation while following ethical and legal guidelines within the field of mental health/substance use treatment.
Qualifications:
In active recovery and maintenance, H.S. diploma or GED with case management experience providing community outreach and engagement with traditionally resistant populations. Relevant knowledge of motivational interviewing, mental health and in recovery from susbstance misuse. NPI/Medicaid number and eligible to bill Medicaid.
Preferred Qualifications:
In activity recovery and maintenance. Bachelor's Degree in related mental health field with significant case management experience providing community outreach and engagement with traditionally resistant populations. Relevant knowledge of motivational interviewing, mental health and in recovery from substance abuse. At lease five years of case management experience, licensure in mental health, experience working within the child welfare system. NPI/Medicaid number and eligible to bill Medicaid.
Salary : $55 - $110
