What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift Nurse RN-San Luis Obispo position at Central Coast Home Health & Hospice?
Central Coast Home Health & Hospice is a fast-growing organization with an excellent reputation is now seeking a full-time Hospice Night Shift RN to work throughout the Central Coast serving our home health & hospice patients in San Luis Obispo County (includes North and South San Luis Obispo County, Paso Robles, 5 cities, Santa Maria, Lompoc).
The Nurse will work in collaboration with the night shift nursing team and will be available throughout the night to answer all phone calls from home and travel to patient's homes or facilities as needed. You are able to sleep at times- if no patients are needing a visit- while still getting paid.
Work schedule: between 5PM to 6AM (12 hour shifts)
Requirements:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License
- Reliable vehicle, current auto insurance & clean driving record
- CPR certified (BLS for Healthcare Provider)
- One (1) year of professional experience in nursing (LVN or RN)
Knowledge/Abilities:
- Hospice &/or Home Health experience is a plus
- Understanding of the "hospice philosophy" and issues of death and dying
-Ability to effectively triage symptoms and concerns

These are 12-hour shifts (4 hours of overtime pay per shift). Actual pay rates vary depending on factors including type of experience, location, and years of experience.
