Be a part of an exciting and rewarding summer as a Junior Camp Counselor with the Y! In this seasonal role, you will supervise and support a group of children in a day camp setting, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere. You’ll work closely with Senior Counselors and camp leadership to create a fun and engaging experience while ensuring the well-being and development of every camper. By promoting the Y’s mission and values, you’ll contribute to a cause-driven culture focused on community, growth, and belonging.Responsibilities : Supervise and support campers in daily activities.Assist in teaching and facilitating camp activities.Promote a safe and inclusive environment.Communicate effectively to support, counsel, and motivate campers.Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.Minimum Requirements : Must be at least 16 years old with a strong desire to work with children in an outdoor setting.Prior experience working with children is preferred.Must complete mandatory new employee trainings and department onboarding.CPR / AED and First Aid certifications are preferred.Physical ability to fully participate in camp activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.#J-18808-Ljbffr
