Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join the Technical Logistics area as a full-time Administrative Faculty Trainee (Administrator I). We seek applicants who applicants are interested in an entry level position in a technical logistics role seeking to build experience working with event management including lighting, sound and stage direction. Administrative Faculty Trainees will engage with administrative faculty, faculty and students with professionalism and enthusiasm.

About CCSU’s Technical Logistics
The Technical Logistics area supports the academic mission of the University and provides logistical support for events including Commencement, Admitted Students Day and Open Houses. These services include transportation, event set up and break down and technical support for events.
Position Profile
This Administrative Faculty trainee will support the Technical Logistics Event Management area in a number of capacities including scheduling and supervision of student workers and University Assistants, technical support of events including lighting, sound and stage direction and communication with clients.
Weekend and evening work occasionally required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Events management experience including lighting, sound and stage direction.
Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
Must work well in a collaborative team environment and be able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Education:
All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Ideal Candidate
Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
- Knowledge and/or experience with Sub it up or other workforce management software
- Experience with transportation coordination
- Knowledge and/or experience with Accruent Event Management Software (EMS) or other scheduling software
- Technical experience with lighting, control and staging systems

Compensation and Employee Benefits
The Administrative Faculty Trainee is compensated at the Administrator I salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
