Description

**This Position is Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of $2,000 ONLY If The Incumbent Hired Holds a Full LPHA License (LP, LPC, LCSW or LMFT)**

$1,000 payable on next scheduled paycheck following 30 days of employment and

$1,000 payable at the completion of the conditional employment period which is typically six months in length.

Sign-On Bonus payment will be subject to required payroll taxes

Must work 20 or more hours per week to be eligible

Employee must be in good standing and active status to be eligible for payment

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is a part-time, bilingual (Spanish) preferred position.

Performs advanced (senior-level) psychological and therapeutic rehabilitation work. Work involves coordinating therapeutic rehabilitation activities for clients, including testing and assessing, counseling, and reporting, within a program area and developing protocols for an assigned program in rehabilitation therapy services. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.  Position is being filled as a part time role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs mental health evaluations.
  • Coordinates psychological activities.
  • Coordinates and reviews research projects and program evaluations.
  • Coordinates and reviews training programs.
  • Conducts individual and group sessions.
  • Conducts research and disseminates findings.
  • Develops and implements individualized program plans.
  • Interviews clients, recommends treatment, and prepares reports.
  • Maintains clients’ treatment plans and progress records and modifies treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participates in conferences for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Participates in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to psychological service provisions.
  • Prepares behavior analyses, and designs and monitors behavior modification and skill acquisition plans.
  • Reviews reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • May assign and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Interviews clients, their families, law enforcement officials, schools, and health and social welfare institutions to obtain client information necessary to perform diagnostic or other required assessments to ensure compliance with all agency, state and federal mandates and ensure maintenance of funding.
  • Will provide clinical support to front line staff.
  • Must stay compliant with all required training.
  • May provide support clinic coordinator with administrative duties.
  • Will carry a case load; however, case load will be commensurate to assigned duties.
  • Coordinates and reviews program evaluations, quality assurance or enhancement activities, and/or program analysis to improve overall program efficiencies or to ensure that services meet quality standards or billing guidelines.
  • Serves as liaison between clients and their families, state and judicial systems, and facility or treatment providers.
  • Identifies problem areas, service gaps and other issues that are barriers to services for clients. Maintains responsibility for the initial attempt at resolution of consumer complaints.
  • Documents case records and prepares reports.
  • Assists with (intra) and (inter) agency service coordination and referral concerns.
  • Will serve as the Unit trainer on documentation requirements and conduct quarterly reviews. In addition, will assist with the monthly required QMHP-CS supervision requirement.
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures applicable to unit functioning and assists with program monitoring/evaluation applicable to unit functioning. May participate in organizational workgroups.
  • Must stay compliant with all required training.
  • Will train and provide input on the performance of assigned staff.
  • Work behavior must be compatible with Center value statement.

  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity.  Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program’s processes.
  • Professional Development - Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures.  Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification

  • Experience in a field relating to the agency program.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the social services arena with a Master’s Degree following and which allows for LPHA standing/licensure
  • LP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (LPHA) required
    • LMSW and LPC-Associate may be considered if full LPHA licensure – as listed above – is obtained within six (6) months of hire

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of mental illness and emotional components of physical illness; of rehabilitation and psychotherapeutic methods; of casework principles; of community resources; and of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of clinical work.
  • Ability to assess client needs, to coordinate client services, and to work well with others. 
  • Knowledge of community resources; of case management principles, objective, standards, and methods; and of program policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to proficiently utilize computer programs, e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to see, hear and talk effectively within job requirements.
  • Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to effectively handle potentially aggressive behavior in a positive manner.
  • Bilingual preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Regular attendance and reliability is critical to business operations.
