The Central Connecticut Coast Y is hiring a full-time Roaming Maintenance Technician to support the functionality and appearance of our facilities across multiple locations. Reporting to the Director of Property Management, this role ensures all buildings and equipment are clean, safe, and in good working order.
You’ll perform hands-on maintenance across a range of areas, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and general repair. Responsibilities include regular safety inspections, preventive maintenance, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with contractors. The position requires travel between sites, and a vehicle stipend is provided to cover the use of a personal vehicle. All necessary tools will be provided.

High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant work experience in building maintenance

Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and/or general repair

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record meeting YMCA standards

Able to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies during and after business hours

Physically able to climb ladders, shovel snow, lift/move up to 50 lbs, and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions

Strong attention to safety; observant, responsible, and reliable
