Join our team at the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA as a Preschool Associate Teacher, where you will play a key role in shaping the early learning experiences of children ages 3-5. Our preschool program is designed to foster social, physical, mental, and emotional growth in a nurturing and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage with children to promote developmental milestones.

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and growth.

Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.

Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Follow YMCA and Office of Early Childhood (OEC) guidelines for child care.

Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 ECE credits.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-oriented skills.

Ability to respond calmly and quickly in emergencies.

Must complete OEC background check and fingerprinting within 30 days of hire.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
