SUMMARY
To assist in managing, organizing and supervising the operations and staffing within the Transportation Department including the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and extra-curricular activities. Thorough supervision and direction of personnel, financial planning and performing related and administrative tasks as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills:

Practices, procedures, and legal requirements related to the maintenance and operation of a school transportation system.
- Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations.
- Principles and practices of organization, administration and personnel management, including supervision and training.
- Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
Abilities:
Ability to manage a complex department with varied changing service demands. Exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks and directing staff. Planning, organizing and directing others. Utilize computer software programs and hardware pertinent to area. Plan maximum utilization of transportation department equipment and personnel. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or equivalent is preferred or comparable experience. Three or more years experience working within a mid to large sized pupil transportation fleet operation or public transportation operation. Must hold a valid Pennslyvania Drivers License.
Pay range: $62,665 - $87,731.00
