SUMMARY
The primary role of the school nurse is to support student learning. This is accomplished by implementing strategies that promote student and staff health and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills : Recognize the philosophy that health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.
Abilities : The duties of the Registered Nurse are exclusively in connection with school health services and as mandated by the School Health Act with technical content prescribed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Central Dauphin School District policy and procedures.
Education and Experience : Must maintain a current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse. Maintain valid PA driver's license and have transportation to various locations. Completion of American Red Cross Standard First Aid Course, recertified as required.
Hours : Elementary - 8 : 35 AM- 4 : 05 PM
Middle School - 7 : 20 AM - 2 : 50 PM
High School - 7 : 20 AM - 2 : 50 PM
