What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Injector position at Central Dermatology Center PA?
Primary Job Functions:
- Offer friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
- Provides patients with instructions and educational materials that relate to their unique skin type and recommend adjustments to their skincare regiment as appropriate.
- Determines patient skin care goals and objectives and recommends products and services that can facilitate attainment of those goals.
- Perform consultations and present treatment plans with recommended services and products.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients.
- Seeks advice and supervision of physician as required on treatment protocols and notifies the physician of any patient noncompliance.
- Responsible for the coordination of any correspondence to patients regarding their skin care treatment plan, product usage, or home care instructions.
- Maintains patient medical records detailing all treatment procedures, elective products, medication history, and educational materials received.
- Perform injectable treatments for facial issues using neurotoxins and dermal fillers.
- Perform laser treatments with applicable equipment in a safe and competent manner.
- Performs aesthetic treatments within scope of practice.
- Report to medical director/manager on treatment results including any adverse reactions.
- Meet or exceed productivity goals individually and as a group, while serving the patient at the highest level.
- Ability to explain and sell products and services.
- Utilize down-time to promote SCLC services to current patients.
- Stay up to date on new products and services in the industry.
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains said equipment in accordance with manufacturer
- Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
- Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff
- Tracks referral sources, sends thank-you letters to the source, and posts consultation
letters to the patient.
- Maintains inventory-tracking system for retail and professional products.
- Orders and stocks inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining treatment rooms and retail
- Maintain a valid aesthetician license in accordance with state
- Works with the administrator on marketing programs
- Promotes Spa seminars and assists with Open Houses and Seminars
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach above shoulders depending on the individual’s daily work assignments.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, at least eight hours a day, depending on the individual’s daily work assignments.
- Ability to see, hear, speak, interact, read, write, and type sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations depending on the individual’s work assignments daily and be able to move safely about the work area.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations as needed, including lifting ability needed for patient safety.
- Must have bilateral use of hands for repetitive fine manipulation.
- Must have the physical stamina to work at least eight hours per day.
Environmental/working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a medical office environment. Work involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
