What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Principal - Central Elementary School position at Central Elementary School?
WNESU is seeking a Principal for Central Elementary School (CES) serving K-6 grade students. The Principal will work closely with teachers, staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
Educational Leadership:
•Uphold the State of Vermont Education Quality Standards (EQS) to ensure continuous improvement in student performance, instruction, and leadership.
•Delivery of quality instruction ensuring educational strategies are in place that support effective learning for all students.
•Provide visionary leadership to create a positive school culture focused on academic excellence, equity, and student success.
Administrative Management:
•Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing education, safety, and student welfare.
•Foster a culture of collaboration & teamwork.
Student Support and Discipline:
•Implement proactive strategies to promote positive behavior and prevent disciplinary issues.
•Strong experience with trauma informed practices, demonstrating background and success with implementing restorative practices
•Ensure that appropriate support services are available to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities or special needs.
• Experience with MTSS at the primary level
Professional Qualification Requirements:
- Vermont Licensure as Principal is required (or licensable in Administration in Vermont)
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
