Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various flooring types and be proficient in related construction tasks. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining flooring materials while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assess job sites for water damage restoration needs and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their flooring preferences and provide expert recommendations.
- Execute drywall repairs as needed to prepare surfaces for installation.
- Utilize power tools effectively and safely to complete installations.
- Conduct fixture installations related to flooring projects.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks to ensure a polished finish around edges and corners.
- Restore damaged areas of existing flooring as required.
- Finish concrete surfaces when necessary to prepare for new flooring installations.
- Apply caulking to ensure proper sealing around edges and joints.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or in a similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and drywall repair.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment related to flooring installation.
- Experience with trim carpentry is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with flooring installation.
