Responsible for providing support to the Office Manager, Principal(s) and Dean with specific responsibilities for performing clerical functions related to student attendance services.
Support regular student attendance by serving as a point of contact for parents and students relative to school attendance.
Prepare and maintain student attendance data, including entry and accuracy of such data for district and state reporting purposes.
Support student enrollment, transfer and withdrawal processes as needed to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Proficiency in Google and excel programs.
High degree of tact and ability to maintain confidentiality, thoroughness and flexibility.
Acquire and maintain a knowledgeable base of information concerning the total school program.
Provide well-organized and accurate work, while maintaining student and staff confidentiality.
Demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail, keep accurate records and troubleshoot while multi-tasking.
Organize and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.

General Duties:
Answer phone, take messages and screen/direct calls to the appropriate staff. Greet, provide assistance and communicate effectively with parents, students, visitors and the community.
Support the invitational tone of the Main Office through presence and tone; greeting students and families.
Track student records relating to attendance policy for regular school hours and after-school activities.
Prepare, type, file correspondences/reports and generate mailings related to attendance.
Assist in coordinating tutoring for extended absences.
Work closely with the HSL and guidance department to ensure attendance goals are met.
Collaborate with community partners (releases, reporting, ex. Tides, group homes, DCYF).
Run, distribute, collect, produce reports when requested by administrators and/or school counselors. Prepare attendance-related documentation for school staff, parents, and district officials as required.
Other related duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or school’s administration.
Coordinates and prioritizes the internal activities and operations of a school attendance office.
Complies and computes data and prepares a variety of records, reports, and other correspondence related to student attendance matters.
Assign, maintain and coordinate student locker assignments.
Assist in Truancy Court inventory of all student files. Support truancy court efforts, including but not limited to phone calls, letters, documentation, completion of truancy petitions, etc.
Responsible for student tardy kiosks. Respond to inquiries from students, teachers, and parents regarding attendance rules, absences, extended day, pm school, suspensions status.
Admits students who have been absent or arrive late to school; Discusses attendance with students and parents of students who have unexcused absences.
Act as a liaison between the CHS administration/office staff and faculty/school community.
Monitors the behavior of students in the office waiting area and refers them to the appropriate administrator if and when necessary.
Analyzing attendance trends to identify potential issues and recommend interventions.
Responsible for monitoring attendance regarding PM School and G2S program and any/all after school programs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal attendance regulations and assist in audits or reviews as needed.
Responsible for updating daily the Day Schedule rotation [located 2nd floor Foyer].
Responsible for tracking attendance for school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Maintains an accurate record of all communication between the school and home regarding student attendance.
Updates attendance to reflect verifications of excused/unexcused absences and tardies to assure that families do not receive inaccurate telephone communication from the automated attendance caller.
Responsible for the attendance phone line and its voicemail.
Perform duties as required or assigned by the Administration team.
