Position Overview:
The Central Falls School District seeks to hire a talented, knowledgeable, and highly innovative certified educator to fill the Districtwide Occupational Therapist position for the 2024-2025 school year. Successful candidate must have demonstrated success with and be knowledgeable about a variety of interventions; have training and experience with the administration and interpretation of a wide range of assessments and evaluation tools. In addition to direct student services, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for the testing and evaluation of students initially referred or for reevaluations for caseload students.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Occupational Therapy Evaluations and recommend diagnostic services as needed.
Administer, score and interpret results of standardized assessments
Interpret diagnostic data to professionals and families
Provide direct services to students in their classroom, as much as possible, as individuals and/or groups while providing consultation to teachers regarding this area.
Participate as a member of the Evaluation Team.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide services to students based upon the IEPs that are developed.
Maintain case records and follow referral and tracking procedures.
Consult and collaborate with other school personnel in gathering and giving information on a case and in establishing and planning for respective roles in the modification of the student’s program.
Keep sufficient records of the cases to meet state regulations requirements, to document status as needed, providing staff with up to date management and assessment data
Such other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Student of Student Services and/or building administrator
