Position Objective: In this position, the team member will increase sales and profitability for the agronomy division by developing programs and packages that promote CFS products and services. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Regional Sales Agronomists (RSA) and ensuring that they receive consistent training, tools and resources to sell the products and programs CFS agronomy provides.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Communicate a consistent message to RSAs, promoting CFS’s products and services.
- Work closely with RSA sales managers to support, coach and provide resources to the RSA team.
- Work closely with Central Advantage leads to build a collaborative on farm experience between the Central Advantage and RSA teams.
- Create shared accountability between yourself and your direct reports.
- Lead and/or support other initiatives and projects assigned by VP of agronomy
- Champion for change including digital engagement, new revenue opportunities, process improvements, etc.
- Know, follow, and hold the RSA Team accountable for CFS agronomy SOPs, BMPs, Credit Policy and other initiatives
- Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
- Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance
- Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management, could include agronomy operations
Requirements
Desired skills and competencies:
- Ability to communicate well with both employees and customers and build relationships
- Solid planning and organizational skills
- Certified Crop Advisor certificate or equivalent
- Collaborative approach to grower service
- Creativity and initiative to develop new programs
- Works well in a change environment
- Ability to see the bigger picture and communicate decisions on behalf of the company.

Licensing, Certification and Qualification:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with haz-mat endorsement, or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment
Working Environment: 75% of time spent employee/customers facing, 25% preparation and continuing education. Employee/customer facing time will vary between office, field and remote locations.
Physical Demands: Able to get in and out of farm equipment, lift 50 lbs.
