Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant that is passionate about providing quality patient care. Required hours are Monday- Friday 8:30-5

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Clinical chart preparation and maintaining accurate patient records
• Conduct routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
• Obtain prior authorization for prescriptions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and medication instructions while addressing any questions or concerns effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist front office in managing the flow of patients.

Experience/Skills

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred - E Clinical Works a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
